A new endeavor

monkey stitch jpeg with border

In these tough economic times, Allison and I have decided to try to make a little extra money by making unique apparel for little people. I've been having a blast making applique shirts, diaper covers, burp rags, etc. for Jack. Allison, was loving getting creative to make hair bows and tutus for Little Miss Kennison, so we have come together and created Monkey Stitch. Basically our goal is to continue to be able to spend as much time with our kiddos as possible while contributing financially to our families in a way we find totally fun!

One of the things we noticed when we first set out were how expensive custom made items for little people actually are, when they aren't that difficult. So, our second goal is to provide affordable custom items to match any budget.

Go to http://monkeystitch.wordpress.com to check out our blog, and click on Product Gallery to see some of our creations! And if you like what you see, pass on the link to anyone you think might be interested in a Christmas gift for their favorite little monkey!

Monkey Stitch is really cute. I love the logo. How does Jack like the airplane and cell phone we sent him for his birthday? We check the blog every day to see how he is changing. We hope to see you over the Christmas holidays. Are you planning to go to Jacksonville? Also, we have a webcam and DSL. Would you like to have a video chat with us?

You guys are TOO creative! Having the skill of sewing is definitely a good one to have. Wish I had it!

I love it! I've been thinking about doing something similar with the tutus and bows that I can make, but haven't had the confidence yet.

I just looked over there and some of that stuff is fabulous! I might be making some purchases! LOVE the softbooks!
